Collingwood face Carlton to kickstart round two with both clubs looking for their first win of the 2021 season.
It also represents a significant milestone for Jordan De Goey who will be playing his 100th AFL game.
The 25-year-old was quiet last week against the Bulldogs gathering 16 disposals and kicking 3 behinds. And Collingwood will be looking for an increase in output from their X-Factor.
One of the issues facing the Magpies brains trust is working out exactly what is the best position to maximise this output. Forward, midfield or a combination of both ala Dustin Martin.
This is almost spooky!

The Jordan De Goey recipe for success
De Goey has spent most of his career playing primarily forward with occasional bursts in the midfield.
An explosive player with great skills, the Magpie has often caused headaches for defenders with the 2018 season his most prolific season to date with a return of 48 goals from 21 games.
Pre-season Nathan Buckley suggested De Goey would spend significantly more time in the midfield than previous years. And this was the case in the Community Series match earlier this month against Richmond.
Despite an encouraging performance, Lions legend Jonathon Brown is of the opinion that the 25-year-old may need to play forward more out of necessity this season.
“The problem is he’s going to be playing a fair bit of midfield time. I think at the end of this season, if they’re going to be any chance of being in September, they need Jordan De Goey kicking 40 plus.”
An exceptional talent, a milestone game against the old enemy might just be what is needed to bring out the best in Jordan De Goey. And hopefully we can expect more consistent form in 2021 and beyond.
