My Life As… A Brownlow Medalist – Adam Cooney

Adam Cooney is one of the AFL’s most colourful characters. A young Cooney burst onto the scene as a number 1 pick for the Western Bulldogs in 2004. Only a few years later in 2008 he dominated the competition to be rewarded the highest individual honour in the game, the Brownlow Medal. This year Cooney announced his retirement from the game after thirteen seasons and 250 games.

We join Adam, his wife Haylea and their kids to discuss the impact of the retirement on the family, their life after footy and also get the lowdown on that famous Burger Ring proposal.
