Melbourne WWE Fans
We caught up with a few of Australia’s fans on their way into the WWE live event at Rod Laver arena, Melbourne.
Monty Kanungo travelled all the way from Perth to see the action armed with his ‘Money in the Bank’ briefcase.
“Thought I might cash in. So you might see me during the main event saying: ref I’m cashing in.”
Once in a Lifetime Opportunity
Earlier in the day Melbourne WWE Fans lined up for hours at Westfield Knox to meet Superstars Kevin Owens and Melbourne’s own Emma.
“There’s no feeling that I can describe that is better than the WWE,” says Ashlee Eaton, a lifelong WWE fan. “I can’t explain how many friends I have met as a result of this business.”
Ashlee queued from the early hours of the morning to meet her heroes and found she wasn’t alone. A small, but dedicated contingent was also there. Through their common love for the WWE they formed a fast friendship.
“I got into wrestling because of my sister,” says Ezekiel Azib, another member of the group. ‘Ziek’ as he prefers to be known is decked out in John Cena “Rise Above” cancer awareness merchandise. “She lost her battle with breast cancer so this is a tribute to her and my favourite wrestler.”
This episode of Fan Love shows the colour and passion of the loudest and craziest sports fans in the world – the WWE fans.
