NSW Origin legend Andrew Johns reacts to Origin loss by stating that the Blues’ Series loss to Queensland last night “makes him feel sick.”
Andrew Johns not impressed
Joey made headlines after Origin II when he went into a meltdown over NSW’s second half capitulation.
On this occasion he was a little more measured but still couldn’t hide his disappointment.
Game III was very different with Queensland dominating from the outset.
Given the wealth of opportunities the Maroons had in the first half, the match really should have been over by half time.
When James Maloney converted a Josh Dugan try there was a brief glimmer of hope for the Blues.
Then Holmes and a lively Munster combined to put it beyond doubt. A Wallace try again set up by Munster proved to be another nail in the New South Wales coffin.

Joey Johns was disgusted with what he witnessed.
“I feel sick, it’s just so hard to watch. I still don’t think NSW get it, just really don’t get it. There was times there with the ball was thrown back inside, we just switched off.”
“You think the ball goes past you, well my job’s done. You can’t give up on it in Origin footy and that’s what we have to get the mentality of. It’s not about set plays and fancy plays.”
“I looked at the teams on paper before and I think NSW on paper had a much stronger team, I thought they had a much stronger forward pack. But the game isn’t played on paper.”
